Kōrero MiriMiri: Healing Talks with Sarah Cotter from Kahukura Traditional Māori Healing & Te Kauhanga ō Mārama
This week’s Kōrero MiriMiri is with Sarah Cotter, a Māori Healing Practitioner who is now based in Whangarei, Aotearoa, New Zealand. For me, this conversation is a really nourishing capture of the energetics of sharing RomiRomi. And a reminder about the way our tīpuna, ancestors continually push us to remember who we are.
Keep an eye out as the video progresses as Sarah is joined by Tumatauenga, The keeper of the violet flame as she speaks about our sacred practices. It comes up again and again that those who dive into the path of Māori healing feel fundamentally changed, at a cellular level and I sense that Tautauenga is here to support us in this journey forward. Sarah articulates this so beautifully, for many of us, Māori healing has changed who we are and enables us to support others to move closer to who they are (we are) at our core.
I had the privilege of staying at Sarah’s hapu’s whare tīpuna, in January and I feel that her ancestors are deeply proud of her journey.
At the end of this kōrero we talk about a new initiative Sarah is embarking on with some other Māori healing practitioners under Te Kauhanga ō Mārama ~ A collective based roopu ~ group offering Te Ao Māori ~ Māori world practices of awakening, connecting and healing.
As always, let me know how you find these kōrero and sending love out to all of you
Whakamanatia, in our collective sovereign uprising,
