Diving deeper into some nuances of Māori Healing (from the archives)

Healing centred engagement, advocacy & the power of a social work lens

The beautiful tuahine Haaweatea Bryson from Nature Knows, who featured in episode 15 –  turned the tables on me for this week’s Kōrero MiriMiri: Healing talk and asked me about my path and journey into Māori Healing. This is part 1 of 2 and in this video we talk deeply and intentionally about my identity as a White Māori wahine. It’s such an honour to share this conversation with Haaweatea about the depths of our practice and the way it weaves both in our life and spiritual grounding and the depth of the practice we share with others. Thank you all for sharing in these talks and witnessing my wairua through these kōrero.

In this episode

At the time of recording, we were amidst the Black lives matter uprising and so we begin talking about this and weave between the idea of growing up between 2 cultures and Māori healing.

Terms we use that you may want to look into more!
