1. “We are merely vessels and Every one of us knows how to heal ourselves”
One of the things I find most beautiful about Māori healing and the way I was taught is the emphasis on every person’s sovereignty and their deep awareness and strength and knowing on how to complete their own healing.
Some of the ways a body heals itself includes Tears, screams, wails, body movements, song, or laughter. Each of these signal that the body is beginning the process of adjusting and shift itself to align, and heal.
When we embrace the role of the healer. We are taking on a responsibility of clearing out of own blockages, expectations or ego-energy that may interrupt another’s healing. We are allowing their tīpuna ~ ancestors, atua ~ guides and kaitiaki ~ guardians to guide us as to what this individual needs.
As we learn to ride the wairua and read and speak to the energy that is present, we will take deeper breaths in the moments between the moments, we will learn to speak with the voice of the ancients and we will begin to learn a new language that goes beyond what we ever knew possible.
I will continue to share writings on the pillars over the next few weeks. For those who feel the call to be a healer or who already practicing healing.
How do you maintain your energy field to do this work? Any insights you can share with us?
Whakamanatia, in our sovereign uprising,
Gabrielle
