People often ask me how I found Romiromi…
When I first found RomiRomi, or perhaps when RomiRomi found me… I never intended to practice it as a core part of my life.
I went to the wananga because I was missing that Aotearoa way, the vibe & wairua that we intrinsically hold within us. had always spoken more to me than Kapa Haka… I remember arriving to the wananga late because I had so much energy coursing through my body.
And I remember barely hearing anything… although the memory of what I saw was and is etched on my mind.
Then I returned to my life… and it wasn’t another 6-years until I was doing my life Coaching training that all that knowing came rushing back in.
Someone would be telling me their block… and as they would talk, I would see a RomiRomi arm on a specific place on their body.
After this experience happened again and again… I worked up the courage to ask my clients to receive RomiRomi as part of their coaching packages. And this is still something I offer today.
The energy that weaves with me has changed a lot. I’ve taken more wananga and learned more about counselling and coaching.
And our world has changed a lot since that time.
Yet I am forever grateful to my first clients, some who I continue to weave with today.
Thank you to those who met me in parks, on cliffs, beside the river and took me to their sacred places.
I mostly practice inside now, but for that time… all the lessons. All the shifts. All the possibilities, I am forever grateful.
