This week in Raranga Pono ~ Weaving with our truth & voice we are examing our calling.

The essence & energy we express in the world, our gifts & how we share.

I truly view this practice as a calling. Whether I am sharing Romiromi or Mirimiri or counselling, the spaces I get to be a part of are such a blessing.

There's such honour in beauty in listening to spaces in talk & spaces in the body to be able to help movement be possible where it wasn't previously. Or new ways of seeing the world, opening up new ways of experiencing the world.

This work can be subtle, yet deep, it is often the seemingly small changes that change our whole experience. It's the knowing that we are listening to the possibilities for the future.

Thank you to every single person who has allowed me to share my gifts in the world ❤️

Working on me earlier this year at the Otautahi Ako Torowhānui wā.

I'm looking forward to weaving with the next Boorlo WA wā next weekend.

Working with the front of the body is nearly always much more vulnerable than the back ♡

Which is why I usually start with the back to allow us both time to drop in.

Take your time, make sure you're comfortable (our posture & shifting energy as we go away from our field & our co-creators field is what gives us lonvevity) & give your whai ora time to process between points x

I've been pondering why so many of us spend so muc

I've been pondering why so many of us spend so much energy trying to navigate other people's energy.

We want to voice something, yet will not feel safe to voice what we need.
We need something, but don't feel we can ask.
We desire something, yet are worried about how others will act.
Or we come across so aggressive as we are so used to not being heard that it becomes jarring to other people's field.

We already know our trauma, activations and triggers and yet, trying to enact the models of "healthiness" can feel so challenging.

In essence, we don't quite fit into the models of what already exists in the world...

♡ We don't fit into traditional relationship dynamics in workplaces, relationships, ways of being.
♡ We may not even fit into the Māori Healing space, or other spiritual spaces)

Yet we may want a different experience than what is happening in our lives.

How do we continue living in a way that aligns for us, not for others... while holding our loved ones in deep love, and still be able to honour our influences and people who have supported us in our lives.

I want to see a world where we can trust what comes out of our voice, and the voice of others.

Where we don't have to question if others are in trust with their truth or understanding about their energy, their capacity.

As our world changes, I want to know we are genuinely safe to articulate the changes that happen in our lives, our schedule and capacity...

Healthy boundaries ~ what our lovelines communicate to the world ♡

Ahhhh, divine spirit, I reaaaaally love healthy boundaries... and this week it's our topic in Raranga Pono ~ Weaving with our voice

Boundaries communicate how we share our energy with those in our world.

Understanding what we are consciously or unconsciously allowing in our lives also highlights how we are curating our energy flow!

I don’t believe our energy is “limited” yet like a treasure, if we do not value our energy & wisdom, it is often spent in areas that do not multiply or enhance our energy.

So what are boundaries ~ lovelines?

Boundaries are thresholds where we don’t want to enter, or where we don’t want another person to enter. They may be guidelines, limits, or ways we want to (and expect) to be treated.

Boundaries express in two directions & in any interaction they influence the interactions we have with others.

Often, we don’t even know we need to create boundaries, we may never have had to about a certain thing… until we realise we need to!

Expressing clearly about what does & doesn’t work for us requires defining the different types of boundaries there are.

Defining where they apply & who they apply with!

I still remember the first time I set a conscious boundary
(rather than a reaction or explosion at someone…)

I spent a sleepless night (& the day before) trying to make the words I needed to say perfect… Yet somewhere along the way, I realised I had to speak with my heart & let my words be incorrect & messy… as long as my heart energy was there, I knew I had honoured myself, whatever the outcome.

At first setting lovelines literally felt like dying.

Then sloooowwwwly, over time, I was like… difficult conversations are good.

♡ They honour me & they honour the other person/people know where we stand.
♡ I love what boundaries create over time.
♡ I love what finding a new boundary uncovers in me…
♡ I love the clarity they create in partnership, friendships & family

I believe lovelines help us to listen to our true internal voice..

How is our energy being directed, expressed & shar

How is our energy being directed, expressed & shared?

One of the key elements of Māori healing (and any therapy) is to try & understand the multiple layers of energy that influences our life experience. For once we have more understanding, we can make better choices about our actions & experience.

On the simplest level ~ we have Mauri & wairua ~ life & spirit force. Yet there are so many other energetics that also play in.

We have the conscious & unconscious... the deeply unseen. Energies arising through family lines & others that influence our experience through our day to day sharing.

For me personally, I really love the feeling of clarity in my body. The capacity to experience a deep capacity to respond in the moment without my energy being dragged into old expectations, programming, or projecting too far into the future.

The capacity to feel the truth running through my body is such a joyful one.
Yet the ironic part is that arriving at this point requires riding the tides of belonging & not belonging. To build an internal strength that doesn't betray our truth or knowing, to maybe disappoint a few people, or an older part of us that wants to be the "perfect woman ~ or man..." capable of doing it all.

When I'm overflowing & well-resourced, navigating all this feels simple, yet when I'm under-resourced, tired, integrating, recovering ~ it can all feel a little more challenging.
