Mmmm today has been the nicest day ♡ Following Mmmm today has been the nicest day ♡ Following where my heart, energy & the things that light me up led me reminded me of when I used to live in London & find little nooks & crannies all the time. This year I've had a lot less of those days than past years (& honestly without regret as Ive been nourished in other ways), yet receiving the gift of these purposeless rambles for the next few weeks lights me up so much. Hammock swings, cafe reads, second hand book shopping, my fave green smoothie & a dip on a roasting day ♡ Also this audio cracked me up, this is so me.... even when I want to do something, if you don't give me a choice... I'll usually be a no 🤣🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
I wanted to take a moment to honour the many emoti I wanted to take a moment to honour the many emotions that arise in the Christmas & New Year period. As much as there is joy & rest in this time (and I am grateful to have this). I know this time can be hard for many, we are often out of routine ~ which for some of us also means less income, less protective factors, more people to care for who are around the home, and often more stress alongside the joy. For others, having our routine taken reminds us of the things we yearn for, or haven’t yet aligned in our lives. Old unprocessed things & comparisons can flood up. There's no right or wrong way to navigate this time.. yet I want to honour you for wherever you are. Whether you have the gift to lean into this period or you're still in the depths of it. For those who need to hear it, I honour how much youve endured, how beautiful you are & give thanks to the people each day who share the unthinkable things they have experienced with me, other counsellors, healers, therapists. There's nothing wrong with you for feeling overwhelmed at this time. The beauty of healing is the process of releasing The beauty of healing is the process of releasing the things which were never ours to carry. To honour the sacrifices made, and choose a life that honours the pain, in our freedom. Finding freedom looks like unsubscribing from this busy life we've created collectively... it looks like feeling joy where there was once no joy. Its a space of being grateful for all that is... and all that will be. A softening into intimacy & a finding of more space & by in the body, the heart & the mind. Healing is finding more life. ♡ Thank you to all those who heal, awaken so more of us have a chance to do so ♡ 📸🤍 @earthandsoulphotography 🌿

This week in Raranga Pono ~ Weaving with our truth This week in Raranga Pono ~ Weaving with our truth & voice we are examing our calling. The essence & energy we express in the world, our gifts & how we share. I truly view this practice as a calling. Whether I am sharing Romiromi or Mirimiri or counselling, the spaces I get to be a part of are such a blessing. There's such honour in beauty in listening to spaces in talk & spaces in the body to be able to help movement be possible where it wasn't previously. Or new ways of seeing the world, opening up new ways of experiencing the world. This work can be subtle, yet deep, it is often the seemingly small changes that change our whole experience. It's the knowing that we are listening to the possibilities for the future. Thank you to every single person who has allowed me to share my gifts in the world ❤️ 📸 @solandlunaphotography_

I'm looking forward to weaving with the next Boorlo WA wā next weekend. Working with the front of the body is nearly always much more vulnerable than the back ♡ Which is why I usually start with the back to allow us both time to drop in. I've been pondering why so many of us spend so muc I've been pondering why so many of us spend so much energy trying to navigate other people's energy. We want to voice something, yet will not feel safe to voice what we need. We need something, but don't feel we can ask. We desire something, yet are worried about how others will act. Or we come across so aggressive as we are so used to not being heard that it becomes jarring to other people's field. We already know our trauma, activations and triggers and yet, trying to enact the models of "healthiness" can feel so challenging. In essence, we don't quite fit into the models of what already exists in the world... ♡ We don't fit into traditional relationship dynamics in workplaces, relationships, ways of being. ♡ We may not even fit into the Māori Healing space, or other spiritual spaces) Yet we may want a different experience than what is happening in our lives. How do we continue living in a way that aligns for us, not for others... while holding our loved ones in deep love, and still be able to honour our influences and people who have supported us in our lives. I want to see a world where we can trust what comes out of our voice, and the voice of others. Where we don't have to question if others are in trust with their truth or understanding about their energy, their capacity. As our world changes, I want to know we are genuinely safe to articulate the changes that happen in our lives, our schedule and capacity...
